This movie is about two hitmen ( Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson), who try to come to terms with their guilt-filled lives. The entire movie is set in a small town of Belgium, called Bruge (hence the title of the movie), where Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson) are sent into hiding by their boss, after they botched up an assignment.
Colin Farrell has done a superb job as the lead, timing his sarcasm to perfection.Clemence Poesy (playing Chloe Villette) looks simply charming, even though unfortunately she appears in only a few scenes.
Throughout the movie, both Ray and Ken are seen insulting each other or making racist comments. Again, I'll state that Farrell's sarcasm is a treat throughout the movie. The F-word (f***) is said in this movie on a number of occasions(126 times according to IMDb), every time
it makes me laugh like crazy.
it makes me laugh like crazy.
The camera-work is crisp, the background score awesome and the storyline is superb.
It is a must watch for anyone, except for those who cannot bear watching slow paced movies, and for those who want loads of action in a movie.
